Sam’s Club Drops Shokz OpenRun Pro to $79 for Members
If you do any outdoor running or walking, you already know the tradeoff with earbuds: block out noise, and you can’t hear traffic, dogs, or the person calling your name. Sam’s Club is currently selling the Shokz OpenRun Pro Endurance Open-Ear Bluetooth Headphones (various colors) for $79, with free pickup available where stock allows. This is a Sam’s Club Members-only price.
What Makes These Different
Shokz uses bone-conduction technology instead of earbuds that sit in or over your ear canal. The headphones rest just in front of your ears and send sound through your cheekbones, which means your ears stay completely open. You can hear cars, other runners, and your surroundings the entire time — a real safety plus if you’re logging miles on roads or trails, especially early morning or evening runs when visibility is already lower.
The “Pro Endurance” branding points to Shokz’s higher-end open-ear line, built for people who train regularly rather than casual, occasional listeners.
Who This Deal Is Best For
- Southern runners training through summer heat — open-ear design means nothing plugging your ear canal, which some people find more comfortable during long, sweaty runs.
- Cyclists and outdoor exercisers who need situational awareness on roads or shared trails.
- Parents who exercise while keeping tabs on kids — being able to hear what’s happening around you without pulling out an earbud is a genuine convenience.
- Anyone who’s found traditional earbuds uncomfortable or unsafe for outdoor workouts and wants to try the bone-conduction alternative.
If you mostly listen to music at your desk or on a couch, this isn’t really built for you — the open-ear design is specifically an outdoor/active-use feature, not a noise-isolation upgrade.
Good to Know Before You Buy
- This is a Sam’s Club Members-only price — you’ll need an active membership to check out at $79.
- Free pickup is location-dependent — the listing notes it’s available “where stock” allows, so call ahead or check your local club’s inventory before making a special trip.
- Always confirm the current price and stock at checkout, since online club deals can shift or sell out by region.
Bottom Line
$79 for a premium open-ear Bluetooth headset is a strong price if you’re training outdoors through the rest of the summer and want to stay aware of your surroundings. If you’re already a Sam’s Club member, this is worth a look before it’s gone.
