Sunny and Warm Today – Perfect for Outdoor Plans, But Watch for Morning Fog

Good news, neighbors! We’re looking at a beautiful day ahead with plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures. Here’s what you need to know:

Today’s Setup

Expect patchy fog early this morning before 9am, especially along and north of I-4, but don’t let that slow you down—it’ll burn off quickly once the sun gets going. After that clears, we’re looking at mostly sunny skies with a high near 85°F and light east-southeast winds at 5-10 mph. It’s the kind of day that practically begs you to get outside.

The National Weather Service notes we’re sitting under a deep high-pressure system that’s keeping us dry and stable. That means zero rain in the forecast today, making this an excellent window for any outdoor projects or activities you’ve been putting off.

Perfect Timing for Outdoor Plans

Theme park visitors: Today’s ideal—mostly sunny, comfortable temps, and no rain. Just grab some sunscreen and you’re golden.

Golfers and anglers: This is your day. Light winds and clear skies make for excellent conditions on the course or at the water.

Home improvement projects: If you’ve been meaning to tackle yard work, today’s perfect. Light winds mean it’s safe to use a cordless lawn mower without debris flying everywhere. If you’re planning any outdoor structures or thinking about a pop-up canopy tent for your patio, today’s calm conditions are ideal for setup and installation.

Grillers, listen up: Fire up that propane grill tonight! We’re looking at beautiful evening conditions, and with temps staying pleasant into the 60s tonight, it’ll be comfortable to dine outside. Grab an instant-read meat thermometer to nail those steaks or burgers perfectly every time.

One Important Beach Safety Note

If you’re heading to the Atlantic beaches, please be aware that dangerous rip currents continue today. The National Weather Service has issued a high rip current risk, and entering the surf is highly discouraged. Stick to the sand and enjoy the view from shore.

Looking Ahead

Thursday looks nearly identical to today—patchy morning fog clearing to sunny skies with a high near 86°F. Friday turns up the heat with highs climbing to 90°F under mostly sunny conditions. We’re tracking a warming trend into the weekend with near-record highs in the low 90s expected.

If you’re heading to Inter&Co Stadium on Saturday for Orlando City SC’s match against Houston Dynamo FC, bring plenty of water and sunscreen. Tailgating conditions will be excellent with mostly sunny skies and warm temps in the upper 80s—perfect weather for a patio furniture setup and some pre-game grilling.

The good news? We stay mostly dry through the weekend before a small chance of showers returns early next week. For now, enjoy this gorgeous stretch of weather!
