Partly sunny skies hold through mid-morning, then the National Weather Service says showers and thunderstorms are likely after 11 AM ET. According to the NWS Melbourne forecast discussion, a sea breeze collision will drive scattered to numerous storms from near Lake George through the Orlando area and toward Lake Okeechobee through the late afternoon and evening. Those storms could produce frequent lightning, strong to locally damaging winds, small hail, and torrential downpours — with rainfall totals between a quarter and a half inch possible. Winds are light from the west at 5 to 10 mph.

The National Weather Service is flagging widespread Moderate to Major HeatRisk through the entire forecast period, with Extreme HeatRisk possible early next week. At 93°F with full Florida summer humidity, it will feel significantly hotter outside — hydration is non-negotiable. Keep a soft cooler backpack loaded with cold drinks if you’re spending extended time at the parks or along International Drive, and carry an insulated tumbler 30oz to keep water icy all day.
